Jordan Ferney, a San Francisco-based event planner, letterpress printer and blogger, is offering letterpress classes in her art studio. One of the classes is scheduled for Saturday, November 21st (10am-2pm) and I am seriously considering signing up. It's a beginning class, intended to get "your toes wet and get a feel for how letterpress works." Students will print their own business/calling cards (taking home 250) and can choose from one of the pre-existing templates or submit an original design. For anyone interested in learning the basics of printing with photopolymer plates on a proof press, this might be the right class for you. In fact, anyone interested in coming with me? The class is $125 and is limited to 8 people.
