Get Even(ly)

{Evenly Booties by Nine West}
I am totally coveting these Evenly Booties by Nine West...especially in the navy suede. Love, love, love the peep toe and side cut-out with metal detailing. Although, I have to be honest, the four-inch heel (which would put me at 6'1") might be a tad too steep for me. Oh, what the hell, they will be mine. No, seriously...I just ordered them.

The Bronze Age

{image from Zappos Couture}

I am seriously considering getting these Belle by Singerson Morrison bronze oxfords - they are so fabulous! Plus, all the reviews say they are super comfortable, which is simply a must in any footwear choice - at least, for me. Love them!

The Spark(le) of Life

{image from Kate Spade}
There are two designers that I feel can basically do no wrong: the uber-talented Mr. Jonathan Adler and the ever-fashionable Kate Spade. Take for instance these charm heels, described on the company's site as "disco ball[s] for your feet." They are pure sparkly, girly perfection. Sure, they're a steep $325, but when you think about it that's really a small price to pay for owning a discotech!

TOMS - So Cutting Wedge

{Image from TOMS}

The new wedges from TOMS have arrived just in time for summer - yay! I'm not normally a fan of TOMS shoes (just not stylistically my thing), but the wedges are super cute and available in a slew of fabulous colors. And, just in case you didn't know, when you purchase a pair of TOMS shoes they give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. Which means you can go forth, buy a pair (or two) and feel good about your purchase. They're only $69, which is totally affordable. I'm so getting a pair of the navy striped ones - love them!

Once You Go Bloch...

{Image from Bloch}

{Image from Net-A-Porter}

Done and done. My search for the perfect summer shoe is over. I declare that these Bloch carnivale ballerina flats are the perfect shoe for hot summer days. Not only are they available in various bright and cheery color combos, they're also ventilated! Brilliant!

Industry News

A little wild and super fun, these lace-up pumps by Industry are totally covetable. Love the blue suede, grey leather and wood-grain heel combo. Need. These. Now.

Stripe Tease

Dear friends living in France,
I spotted these heels on the French site Bata Shop. I want them. If one of you could buy them for me in a size 39, I would be forever grateful.
Respectfully yours,
Erin

Should They Stay Or Should They Go?

These are my new shoes. I love them, but I'm kind of having a bout of buyer's remorse. You see, I got my credit card bill in the mail today and, well, it's up there. So, do I keep them or not? They were fairly inexpensive - got them on clearance at the Rack. Still, they're definitely a want and not a need. Help me decide!

A Rose Is A Rose

I was checking out La Sirene De Boston, a blog by Boston-based jewelry designer Anne Keane, when I discovered her post on these adorable Neilson Bow Flats by Lela Rose. Best part? They're on sale at Payless for a mere $19.99.

Slip(per) Into Something More Comfortable

Here we are mid-winter, the perfect time of year for French Press Knits to hold a slipper giveaway. The winner of said giveaway will get a custom-made pair of felted slippers - color and button choice is up to the winner. It seems a little counterproductive for me to recommend that my readers get over there and enter the giveaway, but a little competition never hurt anyone...right? Deadline to enter is 5 February 2010. Good luck to everyone!

Oh, and if you don't win, you can always purchase the pattern on Etsy and make a pair for yourself - and maybe a pair for me, too!

Shoe Fetish

If you're anything like me you have a closet full of shoes - some live a happy life, front and center, while others spend their days shoved into the dark recesses of the closet. It's not that I don't love them all as much as I love my Chucks - it's just that I don't have a good organizational system in place. Enter this three-tier revolving shoe tree from the Easy Living Store. It's available in chrome and bronze, has adjustable height tiers, holds 18 pairs of shoes (24- and 36-shoe versions are also available), and has a weighted bottom for stability. This could be the solution I've been looking for!

These faux snakeskin flats available at Oak NYC (for $72) would look nice on my feet. Just sayin'.

A Shoe In

These Ladyboy shoes are adorable and they're on sale over at Blackbird for $63.99. Apparently, the design was inspired by music, dance and modern art. I love a shoe that combines fashion, comfort and practicality and these fit the bill. The upper portion is fashioned from a washable canvas, while the inside features ultra suede lining and foam foot beds.

Shock Me Like an Electric Heel

I love how the heel on these Olsen Haus wedges pops. Plus, they're on sale. Only a few sizes left...and mine happens to be one of them.

Rack 'Em

There's this blogger named Whitney Deal, of Darling Dexter, who has been documenting her wardrobe in a segment she calls "Daily Wear." At any rate, Deal always has the cutest shoes and more times than not they're from some place called Rack Room Shoes. So, like any good detective, I Googled the name, found the store, and quickly discovered that you can't purchase anything online. Bummer!!! Despite that all-too-disappointing fact, I couldn't resist the urge to look at the selection and now I want shoes I can't have. Sure, the store carries some brands available elsewhere, but not the ones I want. So, if anyone lives near one of these stores and wants to be my personal shopper, please let me know. I'll pay for the shipping! Oh, and I wear a size 9.

Dropping the F-Bomb!

These strappy snakeskin leather shoes by British footwear brand F-Troupe are available on this side of the pond thanks to Oak New York. The shoes have a 3" stacked wooden heel which, along with the $228 price tag, makes them too steep for me. Still, that doesn't mean I can't appreciate their beauty.

Rubber Duck(y), You're the One

These white, quilted SnowJoggers by Rubber Duck (available for $90 at 80s Purple) are just what I need for my trips to Tahoe this winter. They have faux-fur insulation, are padded, comfy and have super cute "duck tread" on the soles. They're basically the perfect shoe to complete my snow bunny outfit! Plus, the company's mission is to be "the most positive footwear brand in the world." Now, that's a vision statement I can get behind. Visit Rubber Duck to check out the "ultimate winter boot," available in a variety of different styles and colors.
