Faire Play

{I'll take the chair, foot stool, lamp, side table & the little wooden owl - thank you!}
This morning, my coworker and I hit up the Sacramento Antique Faire, a monthly outdoor marketplace featuring a variety of collectibles from hundreds of Northern California dealers. I made a point of bringing only enough cash to cover the $3 entrance fee...as I've been on a spending bender as of late. Row after row of antiques and mid-century modern finds, I found myself envisioning the most covetable items taking their rightful place in my home. Still, without any money, I had no choice but to resist...until my coworker offered to lend me some cash! So, I ended up borrowing $13 so I could buy a 1946 Kodak Brownie Target Six-16 (pictured several photos below) to add to my collection of vintage cameras. Thanks, Lindsay!! Pay you back tomorrow.

{These chairs seriously made me drool}
{Vintage fan, briefcase and flower frogs}
{Love the color of this Tom Thumb typewriter}
{The Brownie on the left came home with me}
{This seller had some awesome mid-century modern pieces}
{Maurice Gibb lunchbox, anyone?}

It's a Bling Thing

{Images from Love Illuminati}

I'm really far too conservative in dress to pull off something as flashy as this vintage rhinestone bow necklace - but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate its sparkling beauty. Can someone please buy it so I can live vicariously through you? Thanks! It's available over at Love Illuminati for $78. If you get it, send me photos!!

Vegan Friendly

{Image from Crystalyn Kae}

Seattle-based handbag designer Crystalyn Kae has a line of vegan-friendly handbags that are super cute! I'm really liking the clutch wristlets, which are available in numerous colors and feature gathered sides and a vintage fabric pleat. Plus, they're totally washable. Love it!

One Potato...Two Potato...

{image from Three Potato Four}

I'm sure most of you are already in the know about Three Potato Four, but on the off chance that I can enlighten some or even one of you here's a little about the online shop. Started back in 2007 by husband-and-wife duo Janet Morales and Stu Eli, the shop features a diverse collection of mostly vintage goods - think furniture, prints & maps, old signs & letter forms, children's toys, vintage tools & kitchen items and more. The selection changes fairly frequently and many items are one-of-a-kind pieces, so I suggest you mark the site in your favorites and check back regularly. If you're looking for further inspiration, be sure to check out the Three Potato Four blog - it's chock full of all sorts of goodness.

Purrrrrfectly Fabulous

I just back from the River City Cat Clinic, where I had to dole out $195 in vet fees, shots and flea prevention for my cat Oliver (aka Ollie). It's really too bad because my co-worker just sent me a link to these fabulous modern cat beds by Etsy seller likekittysville. They're fashioned from vintage fabrics and wood, and at $74 they're not even that expensive. Oh, well. Guess Ollie will have to go without.

Check out photos of some happy kitty (and small pup) customers here.
