Giveaway :: Flexicord Mini

{the flexicord mini charger - damn sexy, don't ya think?}
I'll admit that I was a little surprised when the folks at Cyberguys first contacted me about doing a giveaway. I mean, let's be honest, iPhone/iPod chargers aren't exactly the sexiest things in the world. Still, as a total iPhone junkie I can certainly appreciate the importance of a charger...and I figured some of my readers probably could, too. Plus, the charger they wanted to send me - the flexicord mini - sounded pretty cool. Just 12-inches long when fully extended, the charger can be bent into various "cable origami" shapes (think pen holder, iPhone stand or business-card holder).

Anyway, on to the good stuff! I've got two flexicord minis to give away to my readers. To enter to win, simply leave me a comment telling me what bands are on your iPod. If you tweet about the giveaway you'll receive another entry, just be sure to leave an additional comment with your Twitter handle. All entries must be submitted by 12 a.m. PST this Thursday. Come Friday, I'll pick and announce the two winners, who will be selected by a random number generator. Good luck!

On the Right Track

{Image from Garage Sales Tracker}

I first spotted the Garage Sales Tracker app over on The Hidden List, a blog that's quickly becoming one of my daily reads. The free app lets you search for garage sales, flea markets and consignment shops within a selectable radius (up to 100 miles) of a zip code of your choosing. You can also filter your searches by using the "items for sale" field - you know, if you actually know what it is you're looking for (which I never do).

So far the app only has a 1.5-star rating, which is likely due to the fact that people holding garage sales are still relying heavily on signage and the popular online advertising network Craigslist. Still, if the app catches on, it will become an invaluable resource to us weekend warriors!

Feeling Friendly

{Image from Byrd & Belle}

I can't decide what I enjoy most about Byrd & Bell, its totally covetable products (take this iPhone/iPod case) or the lovely woman behind the company (Angie Davis pretty much rocks). While perusing Davis' goods, I stumbled upon her "about" section and it had me wishing we were friends. I mean, the girl is cute, witty and makes cool shit - who wouldn't want to be her friend?

Adler for All!

Designer Jonathan Adler wants you to "punctuate your PDA" so he's designed several free wallpapers for your phone. Whereas I always thought PDA stood for "Personal Digital Assistant" - turns out for Alder it stands for "Public Display of Alder." Get your wallpaper while the getting is good. My iPhone is currently pimpin' the green brocade wallpaper pictured above on the left.

The Time Machine

Minneapolis-based communication company mono has developed an iPhone clock app that consists of 720 photos - wherein each photo represents a different minute of the day. It's a very artful way of telling time. Love it! Do an app search for photo'clock and download your own copy for a mere $0.99. Get the desktop version for free here.

A Spade's A Spade

Kate Spade has me lusting after yet another one of their products, this colorful iPhone case. The silicone case is available on the Apple site for $29.95. If pink's not really your thing, might I suggest you go with another Spade? Jack Spade. Apple sells a simple, yet sleek blue silicone iPhone case for the same price. Both are molded from high-quality silicone and promise not to stretch like that cheap one you bought at Best Buy earlier this year (yes, I'm talking about myself).

Eco-Friendly iPhone Case

I recently dropped my iPhone and thanks to the less-than-attractive, but fairly protective rubber case it's in there was no damage. Whew! Well, I'm still thinking of upgrading to this super sexy iPhone shell case. Designed by the environmentally friendly Vers, the case comes in walnut (my personal favorite), cherry and bamboo. Plus, it's kind of nice knowing that Vers, which partners with the Arbor Day Foundation, plants 100 trees for every tree they use.
