For anyone who loathes the abrupt beeping or radio sound that discharges from your alarm clock every morning, effectively jolting you into a new day, I have a suggestion: the Moonbeam Clock from LL Bean. This retro-looking alarm clock has a gentle illuminating light that lulls you into the day and then, if that doesn't work (which it will), the same annoying beeping you're used to is used as a backup. Don't worry, there's still a snooze function! Available in blue and vanilla - all the other colors are currently sold out - for $39.50. I got one for Christmas last year and I love it.
